Daniel would have chased him for his own curiosity -- which is telling, because it had taken Armand only a week to do the same. True, he hadn't decided yet if he'd wanted Daniel dead, but his fascination had driven him to seek him out again.

And now, look where that's brought them. "Your level of self-preservation delivered you to me, as a gift," he praises. "You couldn't leave Louis' invitation alone, and now look at you, on your knees for me again."
